Monet is an artist whose career is intertwined with Chicago. From the time his paintings were seen at the Inter-State Industrial Exposition in Chicago, it didn't take long for the buzz to begin. Over the years, many collectors, both local and international, began to chase after Monet's work. In celebration of this great artist and his roots to Chicago, the Art Institute explores his connection to this great city.   Admission to this exhibit will require the purchase of a $7 ticket in addition to general admission.
