The Walnut Room is a legendary restaurant in Chicago. Opening its doors in 1905 this was the first restaurant to be opened in a major department store. You can still sit by the 17-foot marble fountain, surrounded by the original Circassian Walnut paneling. The decor and ambiance of the room are pure elegance. During the holidays it gets extra special because when in the Walnut Room you get front row seating for the Great Tree. Dining alongside the 45-foot tree, decked out in lights and ornaments, is a magical moment.
